Overview

Adeps is the sports administration service in the french community.

The portal currently in place to allow citizens to register for sports camps or sports courses was beginning to be obsolete.

The French community absolutely wanted all these new projects to correspond to the standards and needs in terms of ux.

Background

Adeps provides users with a portal that allows them to register for courses or book sports courses.

The portal currently in place is getting old and functions with a technology that does not allow adeps to make the necessary modifications.

The problem

The portal's current interface does not meet essential needs in terms of Ux.

The SEO is not optimized and it is quite difficult, if not impossible, to find sports camps or courses through search engines.

Unless you know exactly what you are looking for, it's not easy to register for a course. And this poses a problem because only regulars come to register, new users are quickly discouraged by the platform.

Adeps thinks it knows its users but would still like to ensure typical users by creating personas and user journeys.

The solution

The job was to discuss with the client an analyse the current user journey. Why en when users gave up.

The deliverable

Personae and user journeys are, most of the time, made with templates and do not require fancy presentation.

But sometimes, like here, they must be presented to the board of directors. And in this case a nice presentation helps enormously.

The analysis concluded that all users could be narrowed down to 5 personae.

Their impersonation during the users journeys made it possible to determine the pains they encountered.

On this basis it was disconcertingly simple for the project owner and the developers to implement solutions.
